Portfolio Reviews: Art Institute of Austin

I love portfolio reviews.

The Art Institute of Austin asked me to participate in their senior portfolio reviews this week. I am always so impressed with the talent that comes out of AIA, and this year I met some especially talented students.

First was DeWayne Crable, a retired Army veteran, who after 21 years of service has now discovered a passion for fashion photography. He has an obvious connection to all of the people he photographs and his face lights up when he talks about photography. Pictured above with his service dog, Lucky. (Photo by Meg Mulloy)

The second portfolio review was with Daisy Prieto who specializes in babies, kids, families, and seniors. Her studio photos of babies were my favorite. Daisy has a great career ahead of her.

Last and certainly not least was Barbara FG. Insanely talented conceptual and portrait photographer, Barbara is going to be highly acclaimed in about five minutes, you heard it here first! She has already shot for Interview Magazine and is working on a book of 100 portraits.

Thanks to the Art Institute and Meg Mulloy for including me, it was a great review.
