GOALS.

Happy New Year!

I’m sure you are reading about goals everywhere you look this time of year.

Goals don’t have to be complicated or daunting, the key is to get them out of your head and on to paper.

I much prefer working on goals than thinking about resolutions. Resolutions are usually grand generalizations that don’t get realized because they are never planned.

Let’s make a plan.

First: Make an appointment with yourself.

Block a couple of hours on your calendar. Take some undistracted time to think about how you want to feel in 2020.

Once you know how you want to feel, you can choose goals that are in alignment with those feelings.

Once you know what your goals are, the real work comes in. Break your goals in to bite-size daily, weekly, or monthly tasks and then block time on your calendar to get them done.

Second: Tell someone about your goals. Say them out loud. Tell me about your goals. You are 65% likely to reach your goals if you commit them to another person. You are 95% likely to accomplish your goals if you have a regular accountability partner.

If you’re not sure what your goals are for 2020, take a look at some of these questions to ask yourself.

P.S., If you are interested in a Goals Accountability package for 2020, shoot me an email. I’ll help you define your goals, break them down in to monthly steps, and put them into a shared spreadsheet for you. I’ll then check on you every month and even send mid-month reminders. This package is great for photographers but open to anyone with a dream!
